Description Ooh! She came out pretty! Well, the Victorian Crinoline era was perfect for her Queen version. I had to see the Low Bustle and the Crinoline next to each other though, I knew that sometimes the fluffy crinoline can look childish.

Overall I must say you made something really nice! But you didn't submit this to a.deviantart.net/avatars/g/o/g… " alt=" " title="GoldenCritique-Club" /> for nothing! There are a few points that could use some improvement:

First I'll start with the shading. Here is a very good tutorial on how to shade the kind of dresses you made: I hope this helps. Shading has most times not much clear edges, but with folds it's something that has, actually kind of clear edges. Also, when you look at the pink folded part, the dark shading is always the same thickness. You could try to make it more pointed to the end, because that is how real shades work.

When you look in normal life, colours are in different grades, it looks here as if there is only a normal, highlight and shading colour. Also, the pink and blue are two very contrasting colours. The darker blue should actually reflect a bit in the pink part, it could have been a bit more blended in.

Then next I have another tutorial: [link]
This is about the colour choices. Your drawing looks nice, but you have way too much different colours you used. Three coloures is normally what makes a good combination.

Also the lines on the roses are coloured, while yours are black. If you try to blend the colours into the drawing, that would look much better e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>. Make them a tad darker than the colouring, or a dark red colour, but try to avoid black.

For the rest, I must say you did a nice job on the anatomy, her hands and face could maybe use some improvement, but that is something you should practise a lot. I also love the way you did the pink folds e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>

Good luck, and keep on practising!

The thumb is still showing up as thumb+number, can I get a link? I unfortunately haven't found any red pens to ink with, or any other color really. If you're up for a challenge, I'm trying to do other Sailor Scouts as well. My Sailor Scouts Is getting to be a real challenge. I have descriptions for a few, but, I'd have to find the word doc to figure it out. If you want I can email it to you. So far I think the best dress I've done was Michiru Goes to Prom , granted, I actually made and wore that dress at one point, so, I knew my folds well on there.

It starts off with pencil then I ink it with some brush pens and I color it in photoshop. I really hope to make her necklace at some point, I love malachite and cameos.

That's what happens when I get bored... dresses get to be uber detailed and I'm kicking myself later when I have to color it

The Crinoline is what makes her skirt fluffy, basically what they wore in the Civil War Era. As far as the Victorian Era goes, fashion wise, Crinoline as first, then Low Bustle, "Natural" and High Bustle, after that you go into the Edwardian Era which is what you'd see in Titanic.
