Description This is a drawing of the movie actor of King Arthur. Okay... I don't really like the actor, the movie sucked, but I drew this guy specifically because of the lighting.

Most of the movies sucked. I think Excalibur and Camelot are the best movies about King Arthur since the first black and white silent film.

its amazing how many women say clive owens looks hot, many soldiers in the U.S. army look like clive owens, some even better, like models.

its not hard to look hot: take care of yourself, don't stress and relax, live healthy. productive, and take care of your body even more than your car, its that simple.

0.0 GOOD GRIEF!

I seriously thought that this was a picture of Clive from the movie until I looked at it a little longer!

Absolutely AMAZING!

That is absolutely breath taking, I loved this actor in this version because he was so intense. And his eyes, they hold such sorrow of what he had to accomplish in his character of Arthur, the legend. Is this coloring pencil or something else I can't really tell but it's just awesome!

kit1 In reply to Simply-Dreams [2008-01-09 23:13:35 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad you like it. The pencils I used are called 'studio pencils' and they're sort of a 'thicker' draw than normal pencils. It's hard to explain. Heh.

Simply-Dreams In reply to kit1 [2008-01-09 23:44:38 +0000 UTC]

Oh I think I know what you mean, are they kind of like graphite pencils? I'll have to look at our local Hobby Lobby and see if they might have some of those Studio Pencils, they sound like they're a lot of fun to work with

kit1 In reply to Simply-Dreams [2008-01-12 09:51:39 +0000 UTC]

They are fun to work with, but I'm don't think they're like graphite pencils. Hrm... it's hard to explain. lol. You can get them in little tin cases - 12, 24, 36 and 72 pencil sets, I thinky. I use the Derwent range, because they tend to break less. They're a bit expensive for pencils though, but they last long... well, depending on how much you use them.

Hmm okay! I will take a look at them the next chance I get! I need new drawing pencils anyways, I'm getting to the point of using regular #2 pencils that are supposed to be for class at college ::coughs:: lol

what a hunk, love it. Totally agree that the movie sucked, I was very disapointed, but most of the guys were really HOT Personally I think Clive Owen is a very good actor but this movie did him no justice

kit1 In reply to MiniWookie [2007-02-14 12:11:46 +0000 UTC]

The only other movie i've seen him in is Tomb Raider... so i'm not sure I'd be a great judge of his acting ability.

He was on this really great series on PBS. He played a detective that has this eye condition which causes you to go blind and hallucinate, it's a real medical condition (I cant remember the name), he was amazing in this series, I also HEARD that he was really good in that movie that just came out I believe it's called Children of Men.

kit1 In reply to MiniWookie [2007-02-15 09:06:59 +0000 UTC]

How can you be a detective and have this strange eye condition? You'd never be able to believe your own facts, because you may have hallucinated while recording them. O_o

This is absolutely amazing, why haven't you drawn more portraits?! (Just checked out your gallery ) The detail is amazing, especially all the tones in his skin. How many colours did you use for that? Really gorgeous work.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kit1 In reply to Alohomora [2006-05-20 02:33:21 +0000 UTC]

Hrm... how many colours. Light blue, dark blue, brown, black, orange, red, I used a green pencil to sketch it, urm.. dark red. Maybe 7-8 colours. I actually have drawn more portraits. That's kinda where I started. I started drawing LOTR movie characters. Alot of my earlier ones I now think are really bad, but I had to come from somewhere. There are a couple more portraits that I have on this site, but I haven't put up any of my LOTR ones yet. I'll have to find the cd that they're on and pull out the best ones. I keep them all together, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. I do love to draw portraits, but sometimes there just isn't enough time to sit down and do it, but I've chopped out a whole bunch of pictures from magazines, so I'm going to be getting back into portrait stuff. Also there's the fact that I'm an animator, which would most likely account for the lack of portraiture.

wow, great shading on the face, and good job on the hair (always my downfall!).
Know what you mean about the actor - Clive Owen has a scarily deep voice, it freaks me out.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kit1 In reply to kooki-monsta [2006-05-17 10:58:59 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Hair's not so hard. Just look for the shadows and highlights. Lay down a light 'base' for your shadows, then when you start drawing, what for the pattern or flow of the locks of hair. It does take practice though. Keep trying and it'll get easier.
