I know that feeling... I was Nuzlocking my copy of Sapphire and doing some grinding on that route south of Petalburg Forest when I found a GREEN TAILLOW!!!! I hurled an Ultra Ball (thank you, zigzagoon!(I think I nicknamed it Pinecone 5, true story)) and saved about 50 times immediately!

I couldn't help it! You know that crazy adrenaline rush that you feel when you run into a shiny? My instincts went into overdrive and I threw the "one per area" rule in the trash as I frantically caught it, and I didn't want to risk accidentally turning my GBA off before saving!

Well, due to the shiny clause, you can catch them even if they're not your first encounter, so that's fine CX I got five shinies that way CX

Ready to call it quits for the day and saves the game... but misses the save animation. Saves again. Spaces out during the long save process. Focuses, then saves again. Catches the save process, and then decides to hatch one last egg (I'm a meticulous breeder. Natures, IV's, EV's, even DV's... don't look at me like that, I have a Garchomp that lands critical hits nearly every other move.)

You have no idea (because it's never just one egg. Hatching an egg makes other eggs in the party hatch faster, so I decide to hatch those as well. In front of the daycare. With the guy occasionally calling to tell me I have another egg to pick up. Well receiving an egg makes other eggs in the party hatch faster. So why not?) Four hours later I'm still cycling back and forth with a Volcorona and 5 eggs in the party telling myself that I wanted to be in bed before 10. But hey, now I've got an army of Gibles. And Larvitars. And Joltiks... Larvestas, Yamasks, Meinfoos, and so forth and so on...
