This is my entry in the August challenge “Fantasy Meets Reality.” It was supposed to be a quickie – just a bit of laugh but as per usual I got carried away and spent well over 8 hours on it. Well – that’s still quick for me!

When I took a closer look at the expressions on the faces of the men, it just begged to have them staring at something highly unusual – so I added the fairy. I’ve moved the player in white so he is looking towards the fairy. I’m don’t usually use wings, or more noticeable sparkles and glitter but in this picture they just add to the contrast between the oh so ordinary men, and the very unordinary fae.

p.s.
For non-UK people - Fantasy Football is a game where you make up imaginary teams and then give them scores according to some horrendously complicated juggling of the real football scores.
