Description
SO! This took me a little more than a week, because...
1-As always I tried new things with PhotoShop, in this case: new way of making lineart, which took me some time to get the hang of, but I love how it looks and maybe I'll stick with it.
2-I had to fix A LOT of things that were wrong with the original hand-drawn picture.
3-The snakes took 2 days of my life until I figured out how to make them look goooood and fast (Look at them scales! I'm seriously thinking about making a tutorial about them!)
4-I made most of this at work, because I was soooo bored, and didn't have my tablet with me to make things go faster.
5-My coloring skills improved a lot! Look at those golden colors! But I still think some of it looks kinda lifeless (well, she's kinda dead...)
But overall, I'm very happy and proud of how it came out. It still needs some kind of background, and I have some ideas to make all her gold thingies shinier and have reflections, but it kinda looks cool as it is. XD
It's a shame that -when I was almost done with the picture- I found some sprites extracted from the games, and her design was somehow different (simplified, easier). I couldn't adapt this picture to look like them (this is based on official art by Hirooka Masaki), but be sure my future Medusa pics will!
Medusa is owned by Nintendo and all that!
