This photo I can tell you put a lot more time and detail into. Have you been practicing as of late, because this is rather detailed. There is a lot of relatively nice shading in this drawing, not to mention the anatomy is very accurate. Such detail draws attention to this drawing.
This photo also sparks my memory, in this instance, of this awesome fellow: vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/d⦠.

Practicing? No, I've been having a LOT of free time since my computer died a horrible death. Drawing is kinda therapeutic to me.
I did, however, watch some video guides on YouTube, they've been helpful and I got some great tips from them.
The shading is still one of my weakest points, I just don't fully get it, but I've read some tips from pros that say they should come naturally. Now I mostly use them to "shape" some parts of the body.
The details are a result of my passion for this character in particular, I just can't do a sloppy job when it comes to Medusa. They might seem like hard work, but actually I made them quite fast and enjoyed it! As I mentioned before, her snakes and hair are very fun to draw, since they can move anywhere and that gives a LOT of freedom.
BTW, that link leads to a very small pic, I can't see the details on that character. o.O

People actually drawing Medusa? What is this? People don't draw Medusa.

I do! And I'm people! (?)
Seriously, she deserves more love than she gets, and I understand why she doesn't get it.

Ahh...that typical yandere pose. xD But anyways, I like how you did the scales. You make them look really easy, and I feel envious of that. Still a great piece of work though; well done.

Thanks! I really enjoy drawing her because the snakes and hair give a sense of 'creative freedom', if that makes sense at all. The details might seem exhausting, but they make the pic come together, so I enjoy doing that, too. Plus everything about her is fantastic, Β it's hard not to put some extra effort into finishing the details. :3
It's kinda awesome and sad at the same time that this pic almost never happened, when I started it looked very bad, but I powered through it and the result was amazing <3

Glad you stuck to it, I know when things feel/look bad it sometimes seems like the only way to go on is to abort and start again. Great art of Medusa love how much variety you can bring to her character.
