You're wonderful in this medium. I absolutely love your ballpoint pen work. I've tried working in ballpoint pen, but I always lose the depth and detail. Kudos for figuring out how to not do that!

There is no trick to it. harder lines just mean more pressure...softer lines are more layers and light pressure.
