Description One of the final illustrations done for my class for that concept/design project I was doing with griffins. All of them are of Aerith, the young soldier griffin in my planned story. And for each drawing I used a different style with the design I came up with.

For this one, I just wanted to make the lines as simple, smooth, and cool as I could... kinda like vector art, I suppose. The blue shape in the background was added on a whim, because I thought the color would be a nice contrast.

I like! You seem to have given him a bit of cheetah spotting. That's interesting.

Do you want me to send you the info on the female griffin I made? You left it here.

What I figured is: since they have the spotting in their coats (tail), they do a lion/cougar kinda thing and are born fully spotted, though most of those fade by the time they're adults. However, you can look at pictures of lions and even some adults will show signs of spotting on the belly or legs. I kinda wanted to incorporate that same sort of thing into the design.

And yes, I'd like you to send me that. And show me that snow leopard griffin you mentioned.

Pen + brightness/contrast = yes.

Though I was still surprised at how little the lines in this series looked like pen.
