The hair was HARD, trying to keep all the peices in order... ut yeah, I think it's the dark areas that really make it work. I don't put enough contrast in some pictures.

Wow, you are rocking with the portraits! The contrast really is evident in the whole deviation. Great pose and facial features, not to mention the hair, the fringe has sprung to life across the page. One thing that I should address is the various sharp highlights found at the nose and ear. My advice would be to smooth out these areas just to compliment the rest of the features and skin gradient. No doubt the deviation is spectacular, you have improved a great deal, well done.

Gahahah! I totally know which ad you're talking about. It WAS a very eye catching one, I agree, and so is your version of it. I am in love the shadowing and soft lights.
BTW, in case you're wondering, the ad was for a men's perfume for Bulgari. Aqua or something was the name of the perfume. ANYWAYS. Great drawing, am faving immediately.

I don't know how much of that you actually need, I never paid all that much attention to official paper types, I tend to just go by how it feels to touch. This stuff is really good though, whatever it is, it's the purest white I've ever manged to find anywhere and it's so nice and thick... I call it orgasm paper, it's just that good.
