The young Abyssinian belonging to a good family friend. This photo was part of a set intended to showcase their new granddaughter. Ended up with more good ones of the cat than the girl, but what can 'ya say?Related content

Thanks, she's about my favourite photo subject ever. She's one of those cats that just LOVES posing for photos, so I have a chance to get my setup just right.

Whenever my cats realize I want to take a picture of them, they're starting to hide or something like that ... So I guess it's kinda unusual for a cat to pose for photos.

I know! Trust me, I love cats, so I'm always trying to get good photos of them. Verla is one of VERY few that will actually happily sit and pose for me.

She's a pure-bread Abyssinian, they payed an ABSURD amount for her. XD As in our other conversation, though, they got what they paid for. She's got a disposition to match her looks, too. Amazingly friendly, and loves to play.

I know, she really doesn't look it, does she? She looks like the kind of cat that would be really standoffish and hard to get to know. Of course, it's entirely possible that she thinks she's playing with US instead of the other way around... Might even be true.

Thanks, some times you just get lucky. You can't TAKE a photo of a cat, you just have to drop the shutter a lot of times and hope they GIVE you one.
