I just can't get my head around how you actually do these. I've tried modelling a pony several times, and I'm not a noob.
And I can't find any tutorials anywhere.
Needless to say, amazing work with all of these.

An important part was to set up image planes (with a screenshots from the show, showing a pony from the front and from the side) as references to help getting the shape right. (It's kind of like tracing but in 3d

I suppose that when I tried making a model previously, I wasn't very good at drawing, and thus, making the image planes. I should give it another try
I also found that your models have details that I wouldn't think of, something that's probably related to your higher level of quality in making the image planes and art in general.

You should be all right with just Zbrush. But Maya (or a similar program, like Blender 3d) is useful for certain minor parts of the process.

I heard that cinema is not that far from Maya, so I guess I will be fine then 
you see I am planing to make a music video with my oc for a huge project and I am thinking about making it in a lot of different styles, mostly becase it might be impressive and show how much I have learned at school

Okay, I don't even LIKE MLP...it's been a consistent source of misery for me with overly obsessive bronies coming at me for not liking it...

This? THESE pieces...restore an awful lot of my faith in the fandom; because some of them, even the rabid ones, might just be REAL artists like you clearly are!

Because you can define what a real artist is. Also, I'm pretty sure the fandom doesn't lose any sleep over your level of faith.
I also seek out fanart so I can explain how much I dislike the fandom it is from before complimenting it. It is a very normal practice. I'm being sarcastic if you can't tell.
