PERSONALITY
[Adventurous - Social - Eager - Personable - Compassionate - Reckless ]
Pehkat, or Pashi as she'd rather be called, is a wolf that belives that the most important things in life are the experiences she has. Whether or not those experiences find her, or she thrusts herself into them just for the thrill of it could matter less. She believes that everyone has their own take on the life they all share, and because of that she loves to get to know other individuals. Spending her time watching, interacting, harmlessly flirting, or bantering with those around her is one of her favorite hobbies. Where there is a crowd, one can bet Pekhat is in the midst of the party.
She makes friends fairly easily, she develops crushes and attractions, and most importantly-- she loves to guess what goes on in someone else's life. If she doesn't have the facts, she'll just make up her own history, personality, and even relationships for them until she can correct herself. In all honesty, it provides her hours of fun when she can't immediately interact with someone. The countless days where her time is almost exclusively shared with her brother, Sutekh, this personal soap opera in her head regarding almost everyone else in the Kol keeps her longing for bonds at bay-- even if it's just for a little bit. At times, she'll tend to forget the assumptions in her head are just assumptions, mixing up her own head-cannons with what's actually going on.
While being reckless and risky has it's charm, it also has it's consequence. She'll volunteer for just about anything. If it means she gets to experience something new, or grow close to someone she's followed from a distance, she'll jump without an ounce of hesitation. Pashi longs to be someone else's something. Have it be a friend, a best friend, a crush, a mate-- hell, even an enemy. She loves knowing she holds a place in someone else's life. Knowing that she's a little slice of someone else's time here on the island will forever be her motivation. However, recently, venturing from her brother proves to be almost impossible...
HISTORY
Both sister and brother, from pup to adolescent, took on the world without a single glance back. It would have made more sense, said their mother, if they would have been conjoined twins-- for at least then they'd never have to be apart. They were a force to be reckoned with, him and her. No rank, age, or social standing was safe from their wrath. Playing pranks, asking questions, poking and prodding until they were angrily chased away squealing with joy. There would rarely ever be a moment where you'd get to know one without the other when they were young, but as time passed-- the space wedged between the siblings grew. Filled with new friends, magical obligations, cute crushes, and eventually-- love.
There was a wolf named Hoa. He was the pinnacle of perfection. A strapping young guardian with a coat spun from pure gold. It didn't take long for him to woo Pekhat, but when he did, she fell hard. Everything was about Hoa, then. All of her conversations would be riddled with the dramatic sighing of his name. Hoa. She'd tell her brother all about him, how much she loved him-- how much she wanted them to be best friends-- but Sutekh's supportive grin fell more and more with every mention of Hoa. Eventually, she would stop bringing him up.
The talk of magic saturated the island, and Pashi turned her ear as she always did. Things were heating up. She would go where Hoa went, and upon learning how he wanted to not get involved with Malaysia's scheme- she too wanted to ignore it. This news did not go over well with her brother. Since they were young they had always loved the stories of sacrifice and godhood-- and that hadn't change until Hoa. Time spent with her brother dwindled then, until the day the beach went red. That faithful day Pashi found her sensitive eyes blinded by the overhead sun, searching for her golden lover aimlessly before getting knocked to the earth by the eager paws of the attacking Kol. When she came to, it was her brother's voice she heard first. Through the wailing and gnashing of teeth, she'd call out to Hoa, unable to open her eyes to see for herself, but Sutekh would promptly drag her away from the fray despite that.
The news of Hoa's death struck her down. The Tundes slayed him, he said. Butchered him right on the spot as soon as they had the chance. Confusion, pain, and fog filled her head as her brother helped her up-- both of them side by side as they fled for the hills. She'd never see Hoa again, but Sutekh said he'd left her for the slaughter. That was the reason he was struck down. Whatever the reason, she was alone again. Once again it was her-- and him.
Her and him.
SINCE THE SPLIT...
Pashi has been rather quiet. Mourning the loss of her lover under the watchful, ever-present eye of her dear brother. They are rarely apart, just like they were when they were younger. When they are apart, Pekhat tries to reach out, hoping that filling the void with some other relationship would help-- but that time to herself is forever fleeting. She only wanders at night around Kol territory, her eyes more or less failing her during the day. Taking time to sneak away from her brother while he sleeps, despite how thankful she is for his company, she's starting to feel like it's all she'll ever have...
