Not much is known about her past other than the fact that she's the person which took in young Krain after the Hollow midnight incident which left Krain as the only survivor.
She is a nomad, traveling from place to place with no permanent home. She always wears a mysterious mask on the side of her head but never really puts it on her face for some reason. the same thing for her massive sword, The sword is always kept in bandages. It gives off a menacing aura whenever a powerful enemy approaches. Rumors say the sword is not of this world.
People call her the red witch and is mostly shunned or banned from a town or another due to superstition, rumors and generally her aggressive and intimidating look not to mention that she is a faunus. She is without a doubt a gorgeous woman but her looks don't really match with her personality. She is brash and vulgar when she talks but she is mostly silent, hardened by the wilderness and wastelands of Remnant. Initially, she just adopted Krain to be her helper, since she's mostly shunned by towns but as time passes by she began to love the stubborn brat as a mother. She trained and groomed him to be a huntsman without a problem since Krain also wanted to become stronger so that other's won't go through what he went through that night.
Her weapon of use is a common standard revolver gunblade. She is seen by Krain taking care of dozens of grimm with this weapon.

So that's the woman who rescued Krain? My honest opinion? She's awesome but it's cooler that she has silver eyes Krain should've had silver eyes that's just my opinion though

With the sword, mask, undiscovered semblance the character feels like a bag of plot-twist ex machinas waiting to happen. This woudnt be as much the case if the MC hadn't spent a large of their life with her ,but they did.
The outfit doesn't seem to make a lot of sence really, It's not something someone with her personality would want to wear neither is it practical for traveling large distances.
I know I didn't but I just feel like I saw her somewhere before. She makes me think of bleach or some other shonen of the like where you have this type of female character that is supposed to be incredibly strong, with a reputation but is very good-looking and happens to dress like a stripper and spend time with the protagonist.
You can't please everyone.perhaps she is just not pleasing to me or I am just more vocal, in any case some other commenters have expressed that they like it. I do not mean to offend you (I don't even know you) just take this as you will and do whatever you want.

I intended to design her like this, initially I imagined her in a black cloak wearing coat inside and alot of ammo straps and pockets but realised that this wasn't as bad ass as I thought, so i thought of a design which has that rebellious wasteland scavenger from mad max type of feel and yeah she's a main character for a future major plot twist in my story.
I took notes from manga and anime, mainly focusing on cowboy or wild west types and noticed most female gunslingers wear less and wear a thick poncho. And some inspiraions from Claymore and soul calibur hence the sword she's carrying. The mask resembles a Knight's visor and designed it to be like that because of the more modern depictions of a dullahan being a headless knight.
In my story, the two of them only spent time for about 6 years. shes a motherly figure to my main OC. And also have you seen my main OC? tell me what doesn't scream Shounen from the look alone.
I don't know about the bleach thing though.
I'm not much into too much realism so i made her like this, If I wanted Realism I wouldve gone with the hoods, thick jackets, alot of fur, a large backpack, and a rifle axe since rifles are ideal for hunting wildlife and axes are ideal for cutting tress.

Yeah, Just been busy, My Drawing is only a hobby and lately I haven't been too hot on RWBY...until I saw the leaked Trailer. And thanks, Initially I imagined her wearing a black cloak with silver and red designs but then I thought that it's too much like Ruby for me, so I just thought of a bad ass nomadic lady with a sword and Michonne form the walking dead came to mind in that one scene where she woar a cloak lol. Well I browse DeviantART for entertainment value. Own at least three gaming consuls, but my dad and I moved recently and they are still at our old house. It helps me pass the time when I have nothing better to do. I have also been working on my own RWBY OC and might be posting him on my gallery soon. He has gone through numerous changes and multiple revamps but I think that I'm satisfied his design. My character Soma Twilight was the victim of multiple failed medical experiments performed on him at an early age. Additionally he draws inspiration from the Japanese fairy Tale character Momotaro and shares many parallels like being found floating down a river by a woman who would later adopt him and eventually traveling around the world fighting monsters. He may not be a perfect representation of the original source material but I doubt the original Sun Wukong from Journey to the West ran around in blue jeans and tennis shoes either.

Not quite but you are on the right track. Soma's story spans over quite a few years. Eventually finds a Faunus girl who's parents died while he was out on a mission and decides to raise her as his younger sister. She obviously has the dog traits so she basically is that character. There is also a monkey character who teaches Soma various forms of combat skills ranging from judo to Pilipino Martial arts. As for the rooster, I'm kind of drawing a blank. I can't think of anything related to roosters with out thinking about just about everything related to Rooster Teeth. The canine Faunus sister does have a pet phoenix so I guess maybe that could work? I have no idea any more. It makes my head hurt.

Hey if "magic" exists then I wouldn't be so quick to rule it out completely. If you really think about it, we fans have only been shown a small portion of the world of Remnant. We have only seen the city of vale and Beacon academy and have only been given vague details about places like Vacuo and Atlas. Who knows Remnant might turnout out to be a bigger place than we thought. I hope they do though even if just an extinct species.
