Description So, I finally played straight through Sarge's Heroes, and Sarge's Heroes 2 for the first time in years. And after I drew Vikki, I just had to draw the rest of the guys.

This game WAS my Call of Duty back in the early 2000's.

And those were good times indeed. I can't believe I forgot how great this game was, and came to appreciate it for more that just an army game on a much smaller scale.

Edit: Oh yeah, pretend like that floating bottle thing by Shrap, the radical motar man, isn't there. I REALLY gotta work on how thick I draw... >_>

I miss this series so much... Play them all except the GBA and PC games, otherwise I have played all of them on each console. I miss 3DO...

I am college for game design and since it has been like ten years since 3DO went bankrupt, I have wondered how inexpensive the franchise might be to attain.

That's good point. I'd imagine buying those rights shouldn't be hard. The idea is just so ingenious, and shooters are very popular in general. Completely remastering the Sarges Heroes games would revolutionize them.

I would LOVE A sarge's heroes remake! make it sorta like what Mortal Kombat 9 was, a sequel to the previous game (in this case Sarges War) and a remake simultaneously. I imagine Sarge waking up back in time after being shot while leaving Malice's base and the event's of Sarges Heroes 1 will occur. Have more realistic graphics, like bullet holes when injured like in Sarges War but these will remain in the cutscenes instead of Β looking good as new even though you had holes blown into your chest etc and have a two player mode in story mode along with 8-player multiplayer games with LAN connection along with Co-op.

I made a video on YouTube about a remake of sarges heroes that should be made so I think it could be more realistic (I.e. Having chunks of plastic fly off if sarge or tan soldiers are shot with a machine gun or have updated graphics. Even though it had barely any dialogue the N64 version is BEAST and so is the Dreamcast version which was a clone of the N64 game with dialouge

I loved the Dreamcast version. Still have it, actually. Sarges War was mediocre. They could do SO much with it these days in video games. Particularly also because shooters are generally more popular than most games genres.

Yeah sarges war sucks mainly because everyone except sarge dies and I felt bad for Vikki cause for sarge that is undoubtbly the most traumatizing thing to watch her die in his arms T_T. but the only saving grace for me was the holes blown on sarges body which made it a whole lot realistic. my fav is the Dreamcast version favor sarges heroes im surprised 3DO didn't do more on the dreamcast

Yeah I totally hated Sarges War, I mean, it's basically some whiner green rogue guy that decides he just wants to kill everyone? lol. Plastro is the classic bad guy, you don't just do that. They definitely need to do some kinda remake.

Yeah nowadays I only play multiplayer on sarges war the story mode is too bad for me to play. As for a remake we unfortunately might have to wait on that but I had have hopes that SH1 would be remade but we can only hope

The only games I have left are air attack PS1 World War(Again PS1) and unfortunately sarges war. Im still trying to find a Dreamcast because a local gaming store has Dreamcast SH1

To this day, Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 is my favorite war-based shooter. Call of Duty's got thing on this. We've got originality on our side!

Sarges Heroes has got to be one of the most underrated shooters ever. I practically grew up with this game considering I always played with actuall little green army men and loved them to death. I'd really like to see them do something with it in this day in video games.

!! I know hey, I mean, it is kinda broken in some respects, but that doesnt take the fun out for me. Its just really cool. and Same I want to see possibly a Gears of War/Splinter Cell Conviction type Sarges Heroes game. They could make it super cool. I quite liked Sarges War as well

Yeah it wasn't perfect, but considering it was new in the PSX/N64 era, I'd say it was pretty kick ass haha. I honestly hope someone picks up the scraps and remakes it again sometime. So a little of everything too; Sarge's Heroes - Ground, close quarters combat, and Air Combat.

and agreed, back then it was really good. I thought it played wicked smooth and the graphics were fine. Its not so bad, I still love it, just going back it looks pretty bad Id like to get it for Playstation maybe, Ive got the N64 ones. Id like to see it remade too, evn if it was just a remake with HD. I like that they are remaking games, because seriously, thats really all some of them need (better graphics) the Perfect Dark on XBLA is awesome Air Combat was pretty awet too, but I preferred the others. and multiplayer in them. cool games

Ugh... the PS version was actually terrible in graphics. Look and see for yourself on YouTube if you'd like, the n64 was WAY better haha. But yeah, I wouldn't mind a Sarge's Heroes 3.

lol just looked it up. Looks weird. Looks like they tried making it way more 'epic' with like, "BAZOOKA" and "AMMO" flying toward the screen when you pick it up It does have cinematics in it.
Sarges Heroes 3 would be sweeettt

Yeah it's mainly because 3DO was just a declining company, but I quite enjoyed the Army Men games. Could you imagine having a CoD or Battlefield type game, but having a bunch of Green and Tan plastic soldiers fighting at a toy store?
