A proper front and back reference sheet if curious/needed!! Vanil Ref Sheet

☆Beaststone: Transformation into his beast form
☆Tough Legs: Despite is small frame, his legs pack quite a bit of strength. His fighting style while out of transformation is heavily focused on kicks.
☆Strategic: Quickly able to react in situations and plot the best strategic plan in order to come out on top in the end. A valuable ally to have in battle.
☆Jewel Buff: Loves collecting jewels and gems of all kinds and keeps a small pocket book of all the types. If they're pretty, he wants them. Able to easily identify expensive jewels with one glance.

★Personality:
☆Clever+Calculated: Not one to easily be fooled, he always thinks things through until he's satisfied it's the right choice. He'll go through all the scenarios before ever going through with something. Thinks outside of the box. He likes discussing strategy.

☆Observant: Loves to people watch. He watches for tiny bodily gestures and is quite good at telling if people are lying to him or the intent of their moves. He also pays attention when people speak even if it seems like he's
disinterested. He likes attempting to understand the psychology of others: why they do the certain things they do and why they are the way they are.

☆Protective: For people he cares about (his brother) he is extremely protective of them. He doesn't like strangers to get too close to these people and likes to know where they are at all times. (Kinda like a protective mother hen lmao)

☆Sarcastic: Stupid questions are answered with a heavy sarcastic tone; he's not very forgiving in this. He doesn't like wasting his breath and probably won't repeat himself, ever. The only time he's lenient with this is towards hi brother.

☆Prim+Proper: Likes to stay clean and presentable; always has his clothing in order.

☆Forthright: Not afraid to say what's on his mind. If he doesn't like someone, he'll be sure to tell them. He'll often even come right out and tell them to leave or to go away.

★History: Born into an old fashioned family, the Volux clan was commonly known as the "religious" clan as they stuck closely to a defined set of rules that were passed down from generation to generation, almost like a bible. The clan members were expected to follow these rules closely and one leg out of line would result in punishment.
Right from birth his parents were disappointed with Vanil. He was small and frail and lacked what their parents were looking for in a child. While kind, they were distant and he could see that the love and training the other children got were not what he was recieving. Around 3 years later, his brother, Luka, was born and HE was everything his parents had wished for growing up. Strong and athletic. Vanil didn't want anything to do with Luka at the start but soon his younger brother began to cling to him. Vanil could see he wasn't the most clever of children, and began feeling a strong impulse to want to protect him. He was strong, but Vanil worried the boy would get into trouble and began to stick close to him, despite their parents disapproval. Vanil was mainly left out of training between the children and often went off to practice by himself. He knew he looked incapable of fighting but he wanted to prove everyone wrong; that despite his looks he could be strong too, even if it wasn't conventional. He read lots of books on strategy and psychology and became strong through knowledge. His parents paid little to no attention to him, and his clever brain was of no value to their interests. He learned to fend for himself and learn to not lean on others. He became extremely self-sufficient. The only person he ever opened up to was his younger brother. Their closeness was unmatched to anything.
When Luka turned 18, Vail had a bad feeling. He was to go off alone and hunt, and Vanil was worried something would happen to him. But Vanil was not allowed to go on hunts, and therefore could not follow his brother. His feeling of worry was correct when news of Luka's accident happened upon him. He ran to his brother and witnessed the scene before him. He had killed a sacred animal to the clan, and was set for banishment. Vanil hated the single-minded attitudes of his clans ways and refused to go along with such idiocy. After his banishment had been declared, Vanil stepped forward and announced the clan of his departure. He would not leave his brother on his own, and so left with him. He wanted to protect him and he knew how hurt Luka would be after what happened.
So, they left, and traveled together. They managed to get by by themselves and after a while had passed Luka stumbled upon Avitus. They were offered to join and while Luka seemed thrilled, Vanil was averse to it. He didn't know these strangers and was worried for Luka's safety. After a while Luka managed to convince Vanil (the only person actually able to persuade Vanil) and they joined the pack.
Vanil wants to learn more about the war and provide what he can offer to the cause. Because of his previous clan, he was relatively shut off from the world. He believes his strategic strength would be valued here, and wants to continue expanding his knowledge.

Luka Volux : Younger brother. One of the only people he currently cares deeply for and is very protective of him. He let's him do as he pleases but always keeps a watchful eye over him and doesn't like leaving him alone. He's always worried he's going to get himself into some form of trouble or be used by others because of his simple-minded nature. He finds his upbeat nature somewhat tiresome but he wouldn't want his brother any other way.

★Extras:
- He only ever really smiles around Luka, and even then it takes a lot.
- He doesn't give praise lightly, only when the person is really deserving.
- He cuts Luka's hair when it gets too long and bothers his eyes
- He claims he doesn't have a complex about his height, but he still wears small heels. (couple inches)
- His appearance is very important to him. He likes to look organized and collected.
- Any affection towards him is weird for him. It makes him feel gross(ly happy)
