You might recall that Ruby/Sapphire Brendan was replaced with =Leptocyon 's character of the same name on Pg. 10. It was a pleasant experience but it led to some ideas being unused...
So this is pretty much what would have happened if Sara had met original Brendan! ... No, it's not. It's a parody that also contains one or two ideas from Lepto.
Anyways, en...joy? I'm a terrible chibi artist. Their lack of proper hands and feet is disturbing.
I don't like Brendan. If you ever played a Hoenn game as the female character you probably remember his quote: 'I didn't know that you're a girl. Dad, Prof. Birch, said that our new next-door neighbor is a Gym Leader's kid, so I assumed you'd be a guy.'
Absolutely, it's something that any bratty 10-year-old boy could say, but it's also something you shouldn't put into a video game you want to SELL TO GIRLS. I wanted to punch him in the face from day 1, but I couldn't even properly do that because that coward stops challenging you to battle even before his starter is fully evolved. Can you say worst rival ever?

The title of "most annoying" sure goes to Barry, it would have been nice if he had more personality traits besides the ADHD :V
But I still hate Brendan more. At least he's less pathetic in ORAS, but I can't believe they kept that sexist dialogue bit.

I'm sure it was just an oversight by the translation team for Gamefreak. Honestly, I always got the impression that when he got surprised that you were a girl, it was just that he made a poor assumption due to something his parents had said about May without clarifying.

I heard the one from the manga is actually a good character (but the beating up part sounds fun anyway :'D). I wonder if I will ever get around to reading it. xD

The manga character is so much better, like most of the portrayals there, but the beating up isn't as fun as it seems, if I remember correctly he didn't really deserve it (I may be wrong it's been years) I think it might have been that Brendan (Ruby in the manga) was overly protective of May (Sapphire in the manga) after an event that involved a wild salamance that hurt May, this made him give up being a trainer and focus on being a coordinator, and I remember that that was linked to the beating, hell he never hit back, all he did was use a Pokemon (not against her) but once again don't quote me.
Tangent aside it's a much better/more developed pair of characters.

Ah man. Epic randomness. I must have missed that particular part of his dialogue about successful people being male. But man, Brendan in this comic is epicly sexist and clueless at the same lol.
For someone that big of a dick, he deserves to have all his Pokemon get beat up. I'm surprised you didn't put that in lol.

He only says the exact quote I mentioned in the description, but that's definitely offensive enough. xD Brendan in this comic is 10 years old and has zero education and no appropriate role models because his father sends him into the wilderness to study Poochyena and Zigzagoon instead of making him go to school. :'D
I didn't put that in because I didn't feel like properly drawing all those Pokémon I thought an anticlimactic ending was funnier.

I'm playing Emerald at the moment to get a Kyogre for my Black2 Pokédex, and I remember each and every line of every trainer and random NPC ever. I don't like Hoenn at all.

haha I'm working on getting Kyogre and Groudon and possibly Latios in Emerald for my White 2 and then Lugia in my HG for my White 2 as well.
I love Hoenn, it's my favorite region. I can't explain why but it is, maybe it's the pokemon, I love the pokemon. I don't like Johto that much, can barely play my HG after the story

haha. yeah, but it's so tropical, I love it. I mean I love the atmosphere of Johto but I just bored rather quickly. Hoenn keeps me there for some reason.

I do have to admit, before my Nuzlocke run of HeartGold, I had a normal play through. ( This was when I was just getting into the games. Back then I had no idea what Nuzlocke was.) just before the Elite 4 I had to train so much that I quit the game for a couple of months. In the end, I agree that training in Johto SUCKS.
So how's the weather in Hoenn during winter? Johto doesn't have seasonal weather. (kind of like Oklahoma)

it does, but the training in Hoenn, I have to say, is worse. I ended up training against the Elite Four so I could beat the Elite Four.
It's hot! We have a volcano that humidifies the entire region. Neither does Kanto, makes since since you're next door. I think only Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos have weather changes. Maybe not Sinnoh, and Kalos might only be related to the area like Sinnoh, so maybe just Unova.

That sounds harsh! If I ever did a Hoenn run, I would keep a grass type and three electric types on me at all times....
Lucky Unovans... Maybe the ash from the volcano in Hoenn blows into Unova to create "snow"? There must be some pretty weird atmospheric winds for THAT to happen. The atmospheric wind would also explain why there's random rain in Rt. 33 in Johto and in the Cycling foothill in Rijon. They must have a continuous spring season on those routes because of it..

haha that would either create 'Black Snow' or 'Acid Snow'. Well it does say it's Spring when it's either Winter or Summer, Unova's just messed up. And maybe their rain comes from the rain that is constant on Rt.119 and the cloud breaks up and travels to those regions. I think Sinnoh has a continuous Winter, except for Floaroma Town which is spring, because the Platinum trainers dress in Winter clothes.

The electric types would be able to counter all of the mobs of Tentacool. You could also just have Lt. Surge follow you the entire time though.
That does make sense about why there is always snow everywhere in Sinnoh. The constant winter could blow cold air into Kalos, which would explain why so many of their native pokemon have natural scarves. Also, maybe the chemicals from the acid snow in Unova cause brain damage. (That would explain why the Unovan protagonist's best friends are such creepers.) I like your theory about their rain!

My nationaldex won't be completed but I have completed a pokedex for a region before....I think, I can't remember, might have been my Sinnoh dex. Anyway after capturing them I'll have all the legendaries except for Mew in a sense since I can get Deoxys from my Ranger game eventually as well as Manaphy and Phione.
Grinding in Hoenn is terrible too. The levels of the Victory Road are so low that it's impossible to level for the elite four properly. I was training with the elite four since you don't lose money in that game after you're defeated. I think my pokemon hated me since I killed them so much.

I could never finish one before because I missed most of the events. I regret everything about not having payed attention to Pokémon for a few years. But the Shiny Charm in B2W2 is a good motivation to really try for once.

It's still my dream to catch them all even though that phrase is just an almost impossible dream. After that it's grinding to level 100 and shiny hunting.

With the help of people from Pokémon communities it's not impossible. ^^
You get it for completing the Pokédex in B2W2 and it drastically increases the chance of meeting/hatching shinies. When you use the Masuda method for breeding, you'll have a 1:1024 chance. Good enough for me!

One of my favourite things about B2W2 is that you can catch many trade and stone evolutions in the wild. ... Actually, don't try to find the trade evolutions, I've wasted so much time by thinking 'Yup, this will surely be faster than getting up to fetch the other DS.' ouo

same here, going hunting for things you alread have is really time consuming but you're just too lazy to transfer, currently all my pokemon are spread across 3 games, Platinum, Black, and White 2

I already transfered off of Leafgreen for mu nuzlocke and I'm working on getting Lugia before I transfer my HG pokemon. Emerald, as I mentioned earlier, I;m getting the legendaries and probably some other pokemon since I have like no Hoenn pokemon on my National dex, Pearl has all the starters that I need to transfer and Platinum has the rest of everything really. And then Black has the majority of the Unova currently. It is fun, until I can't find/capture things.

LOL! i cant believe he acts like that. my envisioning of the trainer playing as a guy was really cool. i beat steven 8 times and still the people in the trainer fan club say my sis' character is really cool. <_< i will be the best! but i traded all the pokemon soul silver.

Yea yea. the gym battles were so easy i easily trained my mons to 50 and plwed trhough gyms 6,7,8. and i has a surfing pikachu who beat team rocket in mahogony town.

For most cartoon characters it's okay if they don't age because they are at home and most of their adventures could have happened in any order - like in The Simpsons. But Ash is on a journey, he spends months travelling one region and more months travelling the next, in a specific order. And he never gains battle experience. ;__; I would like the anime more if there was a new 10-year-old main character in every region.

Ok how was i supposed i know hes part flying i thought he was part water. Either way i took out thunder for thunder wave. As my plans to weaken it with another pokemon won status effects moves failed. I didnt want to kill it with my other team. So pikachu it was. I wanted to use lugia as a team mate but u ended boxing it cuz it was so weak.

It would make more sense if ash did age. And with each new regjon he could have helped mentor the new trainers whilst doing his own training and reflect as to why hes in this journey in the first place.
Once N comes in with his view on pokemon ash can counteract his view with some hard earned experience of the poke world. Hes traveled to many places seen so many wonderful sights and legends that how can N just rightfully say that all Pokemon must be liberated. If N caught a glimpse of what ash has seen through the show and movies, N will be envious of ash that he even seen the pokemon hes encountered and the all drama that came with having friends by his side.
That would have made a better show. Older ash purely defending his stance. And knowing ash, he'll probably would say "your move?"

i know! my cousin is at 60. <_< i need to surpass her.
yes LOL! the surfing one too! maybe the scene wher ei took over an hour to find the dang kimono ladies. since i beat the kimono ladies it had been months sinc ei last picked up soulsilver. so i forgot what to do and the game stopped telling me what to do. luckily i had already played G/S/C so i knew i had to go to the ocean. instead i decided to head for kanto but no Lyra stops me and says some stuff about the kimnono ladies. <_< lyra since when were you stalking me.
thus the surfing on pikchu ensued. its really funny to have pikachu hop happily into the ocean and turn into a blob of blue with the trainer jumping on it back. then the circling around the caves and i constanly saw the stupid old guy on a upper ledge but couldnt reach him. then i took a turn and made to to him thus the lugia ohko.
the only legendary that i chose to train was a jirachi. it was the event one at lvl 30. once my team reached it i put it in.

cream everybody especially the thought of a jirachi zen headbutting things. its literally a shooting star! lol.
i know. the GTS is crazy! its like this: i search for jirachi lvl 100 and get someone having one at lvl 100 only to ask for a jirachi lvl 1. or asking for pokemon that are lvl 9 and its in the evolved stage. Hacks i say Hacks!
Yay i cant to catch him on lvl 70! ironicly it would be the other way around i guess but i guess by the time players reach kanto and need to train to lvl 80 for red. maybe catching lvl 70 altnerate mascots would be easy.
ugh forever 10 ash... well he did kinda help out May when she was green. they both eventually become strong. in black and white season dawn comes back for a few eps. ash's pikachu vs dawn's quilava was a draw. i think her quilava must have been at a high lvl.

Good luck! No grinding places in Gold/Silver Kanto either. xD I transfered my SoulSilver team to Diamond for grinding for Red.
'Lyra since when were you stalking me' - it's hard to find a NPC who isn't stalking you in Pokémon. She just seems to me more subtle about it.

In the Gen IV GTS many people put up offers like that because they use the Pokémon cloning glitch. But if the offer doesn't disappear after a while or it's in the Gen V GTS, the person is simply a jerk blocking slots for feasible offers.
If it's not a Nuzlocke don't waste your time grinding to lvl 80 for Red. Lvl 73 or something should be enough if you give your team good moves and still have some Max Revives.
I highly doubt the existence of levels in the anime for obvious reasons, even if they mention them sometimes (can't remember if they really do).
