This reminds me of the introduction to Super Castlevania IV. I'm also tickled that it was put into the fantasy category ... regardless, it is the best Celtic cross art that came up when I made a search for the topic on this site. This drawing has a strong visual impact that it owes largely to the impressive angle, and the craftsmanship of it's creator (you).

Thanks, glad you like it so much. I wasn't to sure which category to put it in, so it landed up as fantasy, which I supose it is is in a way as it was mainly created from imagination.

I'm amazed by the amount of work you've put into this drawing. This details are great, really.
My only suggestion would be to crop the sky, it doesn't really suits the mood and looks off.

Mmm interesting everyone else seems to like the sky and the mood it give the drawing. I wasn't sure when I started adding the sky, but I liked it once it was finished.

Oh, I do like this, graphite really suits, it has a slightly 'lost in time' feel, very nice.

Amazing... Good use of value. The sky, perspecitve, textures, and value gives a powerful and yet a depressing feel at the same time. It's like seeing the ruins of a once great kingdom.

Cool thanks, I think its the sky that gives it the other worldly feel. Ironic really I nearly didn't add the sky and then when I did I almost made a complete mess of it, but managed to rescue it in the end.

Glad you like it, the sky was actually an afterthought, I almost messed it up as well but I managed to save it.
