The little girl in panel-one ended up as an homage to Kate Beaton's kid-self-drawings. If you haven't checked out her comics yet I highly encourage you do so, she's deliciously random and wonderfully witty! [link]edit: After checking out this comic my dad said the drink was most likely not supposed to be carbonated, but had fermented some how (stored at wrong temperature or expired)... so maybe I've found a new way to make cheap wine!! certainly explains the drunken state of this comic...

Haha... funny story.. I did this once. Driving in the car. With my mom. At the beginning of a three and a half hour car ride. I sprayed it all over my face, my seat, my pants, the steering wheel, and the dash. But my mom was clean. Jerk.

Speaking of fermented drinks, my cousin once actually dabbled in the business of making a local fermented rice wine called tuak. It's very sweet stuff and the effect hits you gradually. Goodness know how much abuse my liver had last Gawai Festival.
He also actually brought back fermented lychee once. Had the pleasure of having my share...which probably was why memories of that night was really fuzzy.

Yep. It was really good alright. It had that fermented taste to it but still...the sweetness of that just made it more enjoyable. Enjoyable enough to really drink more and more and more.
I also remembered on my last Gawai longhouse trip I had a really cool tuak/mangosteen cocktail. I actually thought of abstaining considering I had one too many drinks the previous nights. The sweetness of it was what got me into it; the fruity mangosteen taste coupled with the slow kicking effects of the tuak. Again I was already down for the count due to that drink. So much for abstinence.

I feel like you use too much dialogue and speech bubbles; your art is charming and goofy enough that the additonal 'ARGH! Why didn't I see that coming?' just feels like you're hamering home the punchline.
