In London I finally saw Wicked!!! (After convincing The Wife to see it with me, ha ha.) I should say that I've always liked Wicked, but it's become so overplayed and overhyped that it's kind of lots its charm for me, but I knew my chances of seeing it at a reasonable price were much higher in London where it was constantly running, instead of at a touring production coming through a nearby city. So we went! And I enjoyed it. I've actually done a few other Wicked drawings a few years ago that I should dig up and post sometime, they still look all right.

OMG, "Popular" (and Nessa, too)! I love sing that song with my bf. I'm always Glinda XD

Ha ha, if you sing Glinda's part, I guess your boyfriend doesn't have much of a part to sing, since Elphaba doesn't really sing much in that song.

sorry, with bf I mean Best Friend XD My fault

We love "Wicked", and sometimes, when we are walking in the street I begin "what is this feeling, so sudden and new?", and finally we sing "What is this feeling?", with a lot of people looking at us XDĀ

We're thinking to make cosplay when the "Wicked" movie is released in Spain.

sorry for my bad English!! -_-u

Ahhh, I see, I thought that might have been what you meant.

And your English is pretty good!

Elphy and Glinda's faces are just great. I've been trying to grasp the idea of characterization with the features and not just the expression, and this just got it to click so thank you so very very much.

Great expression and pose for Nessa, that seems like a tough one to do. Great moment!

It WAS kind of a tough one! At first I didn't like how it was turning out but I think I managed to salvage it, ha.

Finally, how can this be....?! I liked it, saw it in LA and NY. And I agree the story is overdone a bit but its a good story, but the books better.

How can what be? That I posted Wicked arts? Or that I'm not falling over myself over Wicked? Ha ha, yeah, it was really fun and the cast was amazing. I think the Elphaba we saw should have been the one on the Broadway Cast Recording instead of Idina Menzel. I've thought about reading the book, but I've heard very mixed reviews about it, so I haven't yet.

No, just it has been out for a relatively long time in theater terms. I guess I just over reacted. I mean I know a lot of people who are not into it so I have no idea why it did then. Do you know who the actress who played Elphaba was, I am curious. And you should read the book, it is very different compared to the musical and a lot more dark. It is a completely different version of Oz compared to the one most people knows.

I guess it's true, it's been out for a while. But I was completely unwilling to travel hundreds of miles and/or pay hundreds of dollars just to see it. I mean, it took me years and years to finally see Les Miserables, I could surely wait a while for Wicked. The actress who played Elphaba when we saw it was Rachel Tucker ([link] , though she's of course even better live). Phenomenal!

True, the only time I really see shows is when they are in the area where i live. And I have heard of her, she was spectacular!

Ahhhhhh seriously?! What theater?! I saw it there too, in 2011 though, but still!!! fdajkfldj;kfljafkldjas;f

You captured them perfectly. Oh, the memories this brings back...

We saw it at the Apollo Victoria Theater. I'm pretty sure it's been there for quite a while, so I'm sure we saw it at the same place. The cast was awesome.

I'm actually listening to it now! Great to visualize it in your style!!! (still haven't seen it live!)
Agreed with the hype, a lot of things that get hype like that usually turns me away from it.... :-P However Wicked is great, not as

Yeah, it's like when people say, "OMG, I loooove musicals my favorites are Les Mis and Phantom!" and I'm like... and what else?... And they're like... o.O And I'm like... *walks away* There is more to musical theater than Phantom, Les Mis and Wicked! Still, if you get a chance to see it live, I recommend it. Especially if the cast is good, it's pretty remarkable.

I KNOW! I'm a theater major and that's what most of the people here say all the time! Even non-majors or non-"theater" people! UGH!
There are so many good musicals out there and no one even gives them a chance! Yes, for sure!

kuabci In reply to tlm13 [2012-09-12 04:16:02 +0000 UTC]

Yes, so many! I like to seek out obscure musicals, but then, some of them aren't so great either. But there are some real gems out there, if only they had more exposure.

tlm13 In reply to kuabci [2012-09-13 02:44:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeah same! Its true, but I guess that's what makes them special! The fact that only certain people know of them!
