I took about 20 minutes and layed down some grey tones on this piece I did for art class. It was meant to be a warmup for an illustration, so we listened to the teacher read an article, about monkeys controlling robotic arms with their minds, and had to make an illustration based on it. I figured this was the next logical thing to happen. Goddamn simians.Edit: Updated with a cleaner (and larger) image, since this might be part of a portfolio I submit to some people.

brilliant. I really like the mix of the 50's toy-style robot and the realism of the spider monkey. I also like the texture on the robot, like an old pulp magazine.

Heeheehee! This art piece is awesome. The monkey with the gesture (and his arm behind his back), expression, and funky metal hat looks all Hitler-conquer-world-NOW (he looks like that monkey chimp dude from the Power Puff Girls with that hat).
The robots zooming off into the sky really create the look of an invasion! The use of tone is cool and I definitely like the little details like the accent marks on that funky metal hat and the robot's antenna. Coolness!

haHA! that is freakin awesome man! i love it! that monkey is deadon and i love the oldschool (50's) style toyrobot. The monkeys helmet im thinkin is the only thign i dont like, dosnt really seem like it would be straight up in the air if the monkey were howling like that, wouldnt it be tilted back more? Sorry just that aprt bugged me. other thsn that its pretty freakin awesome!

Nicely executed dude, love the tones you layed down....big fan of them! Like the robot design and the contraption on a top of the simians head, nice composition as well, the robots flying off in the background balance it out nicely! Very fresh and funky piece man, keep it up!!!
