I'm back ladies, gentlemen and none binary specimen, bringing yall some long deserved content!

First an author's note: Lemme tell you something folks, this last few months were quite bumpy for me. So this guy has been in the making since late AUGUST, which is like... almost 2 freaking months ago. There's been many technical difficulties and personal stuff happening behind the scenes for which I greatly apologize, but now I'm back with much more control over my work. In just a couple of days I'll be releasing a REredesign of one of the aliens and another new official never before seen redesign hopefully not too long after. But yeah once more, thank you for the wait and stay tuned for not only future redesigns but also series updates.

But with that all set and done, let's return back to the main attraction of this post. Ben's one and only Appoplexian form: Rath

As per usual I'll be splitting this essay on 2 main parts, starting with:

1.BIOLOGY and SOCIETY:

These overgrown feline like humanoids originate from Salvotiera, a planet covered in jungles and wildlife. But within the walls of wood and plant life lives a civil society of Appox. Despite their appearance, Appoplexians are very kind and emotional beings that treat and cherish life and nature with great respect. They believe that every living creature is connected to one another, and although their bodies were designed by nature to hunt and be the best carnivores on the planet, they rarely eat meat (only on special occasions). They're big in size (with average adult Appoplexian's being approximately 2.5 meters/8.25 feet tall), but although their skulls are 2 times bigger than that of an average human, their brains aren't. In fact, they're 6% smaller (but yet somehow they're still smarter than humans). Appoplexians used to be apex predators of Salvotiera. Their muscles were able to flex and grow for triple amount and their upper jaw had big teeth for tearing through prey while their lower jaw was designed to bite through vegetation. So once they became sapient, mother nature deicided to just update what was already there instead of redesigning them completely. So durring their evolution they grew another pair of eyes on their lower jaw. The joint that connected upper neck and skull became a big ball joint (having the ability to twist at ful 360° angle). The "ball" part pushed the skull's bottom up high, limiting the space for the actual brains to grow, so they stayed smaller and now just float in there. Through the years Appoplexians evolved as a society, but their so called "PRIMAL" side always stayed with them.

Either by choice and high concentration or by accident when stressed, they can still go primal. When the brain hits a wall of a skull, the brain will swell and release a big dose of adrenaline shot with high hormone levels that works just like steroids. This adrenaline rushes through their entire body and buffs them up in seconds. The exposed forearm claws get pushed out even further, locking together into one giant claw. And ofcourse, the head spins around and the swollen brain prevents the Appoplexian to think straight and rely on their primal instincts. This state can be easily activated by any sort of stress or strong emotion, so the Appoplexians had to find a way to prevent it.

That's why the whole society of Appoplexians started to use special hightech implants that not only prevent the brains to constantly bump around inside the skull, but also measure their stress levels and use special drugs to relax them. These inplants are produced globally.

2. The DESIGN itself:

I like this overgrown Garfield a lot, but in Prime he's unfortunately just a big cat. So I wanted to make it more alien ofc, and idea of splitting Ben from Rath was one of the things I wanted to try the most, so I decided to just make each one theirown thing.

Prime side is Ben, it's calm, athletic and still quite physically strong while Primal is Rath. Prime's skull is based on an actual Tiger skull, just to stay on that tiger train.

But honestly that's it, I don't know if there's anything I more I gotta say cuz I believe I already said enough.
