Another very nice piece yay! I think that you're handling the balance between the technique of watercolor and the method of cel shading quite nicely, given how vastly different those two tend to be! There is a sense of confidence in your strokes and your decision-making about where to add shadow and depth, and I see your brush strokes are becoming more confident, which is really important in watercolors. Also, it seems you're less and less worried about the color bleeding out of the edges, which is actually a good thing for traditional watercolor. ^.^

Thanks! I'm getting more and more comfortable with them, for sure. I have a lot of fun with these, since they're considerably faster than coloring on the computer! And you never know EXACTLY what you're gonna get, either, so it's kind of surprising in the end.

Yes, I think that sort of uncertainty is what really makes watercolor and most real media stand out in an artistic way as opposed to having precise edges and too-clean of a look as can sometimes happen with CG stuff. And yeah, real media is much faster than doing CG work, agreed! ^.^

C.C. will always have "dat ass!" but Kallen, in my opinion, is the one with "dem boobs!" and you basically nailed that aspect of her physically. Might I add they look oh so perfect, especially with the incredibly subtle inclusion of some slight "perkiness".

the overall anatomy, I must say as well, is incredibly well done karen-chan. the pose is perfectly set up with a wonderful tsundere scowl going on. kallen is tough to draw I think, that uniform must've been a pain even more so. but you pulled it off wonderfully. I'm super impressed.

You're very right, there. Dem boobs ... DEM BEWBS!!!! I didn't want them to look freakishly huge and fake, but ... I had to make them noticeable, since it is Kallen. Oho, and you noticed!

Thanks so much! Her outfit was kind of a pain since it's so segmented and detailed. And I'm definitely not used to drawing 'scowly' characters, but I'm rather proud of her Tsun face!
