fail attempt to be like alaska-is-a-huskyis the animation to much?
I saw a topic on chickensmoothie.com
I never knew "emo" people had it so hard.
really. wow I feel sorry for this very discriminated aginst group of people.
they have it super rough and get judged harshly and sometimes frisked or thrown out of places for no reason, just based on their dress, wich apparenty the way of dress relfects inside much.
I never knew Emo was more than a subculture, more than a kind of music, fashion. a frame of mind, a life style. with rules.
clothing choices are important and symbolic, asking an emo to wear something else is like asking an Islamic person to wear a baseball cap or clown wig instead of the head scarf
there are people who want EMo rights, to be protected from persuction and harm, from discrimnation and being hurt.
I read on the topic they have non whatsoever, they get beat up for n reason and their assailants get off free.
or something.
I don't belive it. really. Or maybe I don't get "what it means to make depression a trendy fashion statement, wear black, write depressive poetry, show off scars and cry for help" or what ever this "thing" is/means.
it certianly isn't what I read on that CS forum.

Well, Emos are a minority, so doesn't that make them a minority group? And to many of the people in the comments: Really? Does it make sense to make fun of people based on what they wear? Everyone has their own preferance in style, so why bash people on that? Have you ever even really met or talked to someone who is 'emo?' It seems the media regularly talks donw on Emos, but it really seems that the Emos don't do any harm and just want to be left alone. Even if you really just don't like Emos, then you still shouldn't be mean to them. Persecuting them just makes them sadder and more emo. So, if you really don't want there to be Emos, then you should be nice to them or at the least leave them be. Thats just what seems to make sense :^I

-facepalm- this is true but just as RoseGroheimer and leaderblackstar said, emos are delusional because they believe that they are left out when they are actually all the heat these days.... due to twilight.People who have gone emo because they are twilight fans obviously aren't actually emo too, they just want to become popular, get attention, anger their innocent parents that are the reason they exsist and for people to think they are cool.
As for other emos, I actually feel sorry that they go through the trouble

it's a style. it'd a philosophy. some emos also, cannot help but be emo, and wear symbols that cry out what they cannot say. "i show cuts and wear black to show my pain and darkness inside, they wouldn't hire me, that is discrimination, I'm suing"

Actually, you know what? I've never seen any emo people showing off scars and being depressed and writing poetry. XD I never considered 'emo' to be a mindset at all, now I sort of just associate it with a way to dress/fashion.
The people who DO flash their cuts around are usually the people so desperate to be 'dark and depressing to piss off Mom and Dad' and want attention. Posers, I guess some people say.
Still though, whatever. I do think it's wrong to hurt people because of certain music they like or how they like to dress. I mean, who cares, right?

If you're getting thrown out of clubs, it might be because your attire isn't up to par with their standards. And you are not going to get into a high class place dressed like they do.
Its good to know that social groups are now races though. I desire a ban on Emo/LARPers weddings. Its against my bible.
