is this photoshop or real? what kind of camera do you use and what background and is there any photoshop and by the way ITS AMAZING!!

This is not photoshopped. It's actually a double exposure of two drops....one before the splash and one of the actual splash. I use a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon 580EX II Speedlite flash. The background is black plexiglass.

Just like *Katjakay said, the swirl inside the drop gives it the "je ne sais quoi" or in other words, the I don't know how to say it but it's awesome!
Overall, loads of details to look at in this one, like that round drop in the center and its reflection, and so forth.

Thank you! I liked the swirl as well. I'm surprised that no one has noticed the one difference about this shot that separates it from the other shots....thought people would pick up on it right away.

lol! It's double exposed....I accidentally dropped two drops so the flash went off twice....once when the first splash happened and the second when the drop was about to splash.

No.....the ghosting effect....as in you can see through the splash to the drop because it was double exposed.

The explanation of how I do this is here [link] The only difference with this one was that I was using "milk" that was already colored rather than putting a drop of food coloring in the puddle.
