This is not photoshopped. It's actually a double exposure of two drops....one before the splash and one of the actual splash. I use a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon 580EX II Speedlite flash. The background is black plexiglass.

Just like *Katjakay said, the swirl inside the drop gives it the "je ne sais quoi" or in other words, the I don't know how to say it but it's awesome!
Overall, loads of details to look at in this one, like that round drop in the center and its reflection, and so forth.

The explanation of how I do this is here [link] The only difference with this one was that I was using "milk" that was already colored rather than putting a drop of food coloring in the puddle.
