Most of the shots I've shown are from the first splash so you don't get to see the mess I make. This one reminded me of confetti flying!

I am using a 70-300mm lens so I am about 3ft from the splashes...no problem keeping dry.

No, this one is just straight yellow. But yellow food coloring looks red until you mix it with something so you tend to get red tinges in it. On my rainbow shot, if you look at the yellow one, it has a red rim around the edge...but I only used yellow for it.

yes I believe it would be but i do not have all the equipment I need to take thos shots I need a trigger activated buy sound or movement

Actually, you can capture it without a trigger....I got these shots [link] [link] and [link] without a trigger. I just used eye/hand coordination. I was getting about 1 out of 10 attempts.

youuse acrylice bases or weare are you getting the nice smooth glossy surfaces

I originally was using a black plate. But later bought a piece of black plexiglass.
