What do you mean it is a combination of yellow and red? In one drop? Is that a multi-drop-shot?
Anyway: This one in particular (but to some degree all the other ones as well) remind me of a harlequin's hat, the harlequin type that entertained the kings and queens in the middle ages by singing, dancing, and telling jokes.
Very nice Paula, I also (like the others) find the color choice excellent.

If you had read my description from the rainbow shoot (all 5,000 words of it!) you would've found that I actually put the food coloring inside a drop of milk on the black plexiglass. So, I drop a drop of milk, add food coloring, and then drop a second drop of milk for the actual shot. The reason I did it this way is the first drop of milk identifies where the drop happens so you know where to put the food coloring. The second drop makes the splash. The drop of food coloring totally takes over the color so I didn't even have to color to the milk in the dropper.
I think you should wear this "hat" all day....and entertain ME! lol! I expect singing, dancing, and FUNNY jokes!

Ok, I got it now, interestingly enough I came up with the notion that there has to be a drop on the plate already
And I hope you know that the harlequin was the only person allowed to make jokes at the expense of the queen

The first drop on the plate doesn't splash. So, besides needing a point of reference, it's also a mini-puddle for the next drop to splash in. For this shot, I added yellow and red. I tried all different combinations. I even tried ones with the milk already colored. That produced lighter colors.
