I've been wanting to make this for a while. My good friend and Bat-fanatic Mlle-Relda and myself love the "origin story" to the infamous Arkham Asylum. We have always seen actor Robert Englund as Dr. Amadeus Arkham, the mentally unstable creator of the asylum and Jackie Earle Haley as Martin "Mad Dog" Hawkins, one of the first patients Arkham takes in when the asylum opens. However, the two already have a history--before being locked up in Arkham Asylum, Hawkins escaped from a mental hospital in Metropolis, tracking his former doctor down to his home and Gotham City. Hawkins brutally rapes and murders Arkham's wife and young daughter before being placed, once again, under Arkham's care.A year to the day of the deaths of his wife and daughter, Arkham, to quote the doctor himself in the graphic novel Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth: "I strap [Hawkins] to the electroshock couch...AND I BURN THE FILTHY BASTARD!"

Even though he washes his hands of the franchise, I'd like to see Robert play a character in one of the NOES remake sequels. Like someone who knew who Freddy Kreuger was in the past. Like a teacher at the preschool, or something.

Or a retired worker in the old factory where Freddy burned. He could have tipped off the parents that Freddy was hiding there and thus be the one with Krueger's blood on his hands.

Or he could have wander into the boiler room a little creeped out by freddy's living quarters and gets threaten by Freddy and doesn't say much. He believes that Freddy is killing the kids in they're dreams having posse the gift of a medium

Hmmm...I have a fanfic idea now...
While the idea of a "medium" is interesting...it doesn't really sit with the NOES series, IMO.
