Description Gibson Girl in the House!
For Miss Doll Decade . Maybe.
I haven't gotten the confirmation that I'm allowed to do Miss 1900 yet, but I needed to make something, if only to distract me from the not-quite-severe-but-it-still-hurts pain i'm feeling right now.

The portrait that goes with this doll is about 50% finished. It's a bit more complicated because its got props that the full-body doesn't have (just to make it more interesting.)

Hmmm... I haven't drawn period costumes since the paper dolls I used to make in 5th grade.

i love this doll to pieces!!!! she looks so very high class! her hairdo and face expression are fabulous! the folds on her dress came out so well too, i love the simple shading

Her hair is fab! Her skin has a greenish tone that makes her look a bit...alien, though. She might benefit from a bit more pink being mixed into that palette, or perhaps something more toward blue if you were going for that arsenic-ed look. <<

The green was intentional - used because I wanted to try something other than blue and purple. But yes, it does look odd now that I'm seeing it with my "regular" computer. (yellow + green skintone wasn't a good idea). I'll pinkify her in a bit.
