Description Mizz Mary finally got all the stuff I sent her so now I can upload this! She was happy with it so I am happy. She sent me a bunch of cookies and a card with a drawing for Christmas and I was going to send one back with a drawing of Link in it... But I was so busy with work and my hubby this holiday season I didn't get to.

So I did a full-size one instead I wanted to watercolor this but didn't have any proper paper so it turned into a Copic piece. This is really the first full-size marker piece of this type I've done, so I learned a lot over the progress of it.

I haven't played a Zelda game since the SNES so was trying hard to make sure I captured him somewhat adeptly.

This is... totally awesome! 8___8 YOU are totally awesome! I love it! Your coloring is really great, as always - and I love his expression! You can tell he's working really hard there to not get fried!I'm glad you learned while doing this piece... but I still think it's the bees knees! Thank you!

I think you captured him really well. The flames kind of blend into the bg but I love the reflection on the sword. It looks so smooth. I need to get some more colors and work with my copics again.

I definitely agree with that assessment I went back and added some purple and blue tones to the BG to help differentiate it but that doesn't come across well. I should've really pushed it.

Someone was kind enough to send me a huge set of Copics so I try to honor her by using them as much as possible XD At $5 a marker, though... That's an investment!

No kidding. My dad and I have a system set up where I'll do a certain chore and on his pay day he'll stop by the art store and pick me up one marker. With our financial issues he hasn't been able to in a while, but with doing commissions I should be able to get my own.
