I just heard it in the film I recently saw, in Stranger Than Fiction and it didn't escape my mind...I think 'the leaper' was a book's title in the text, but I concluded it^^
I wish I could have done it in a better quality... Those folds are crazy... how could I make a girl who's basicly floating through the air, with such wreched skirt folds?
I may redo it someday
And I also would like to do more poses of her leaping off other building tops, too :] You can always hope I'll never ever get down to it, though...
So okay, I can state, that I am not out of any inspiration, it's only that I can't draw what I want...

The photograph was taken by Robert C. Miles in 1947 and has appeared in numerous publications over the years. If there is a specific book, I can't find it. Her name was Evelyn McHale. You can read about her and the photograph here:
