Description
First, I had made the Corvette E-85 "gold rush" inspired car outfit for the Detroit Auto Show... Now, I've created a 2010 Ford Mustang inspired jacket just in time for the Woodward Dream Cruise! This was based off of both the Roush 2010 427R Mustang and the 2010 (grabber blue) Mustang, with an homage to the older red, white and blue stripe and running horse emblem. Made of "Sew Classic" brand bottomweight fabrics and some patriotic ribbon, and the 1/4" checkerprint front lining and black broadcloth back lining. I think it turned out really cute
It went well with the other pieces from the Corvette outfit, and I managed to snag a pair of Shelby Cobra logo earrings later in the day, mwaha! What you can't see here is the Ford blue oval sewn on the back and the checkerprint barrette. I also made the necklace and earring set which have the running horse pendants, just like the Ford pony! The Ford reps definitely liked it, and at normal car shows with private car owners, they seem to love the attention to their cars too

So long as the outfits are made with breathable fabrics, they're just fine (as long as I keep hydrated too).
I'm really enjoying this car fashion thing. It's totally random, I haven't seen anyone else attempt it, it's been loads of fun to wear, and other people seem to like it too
