This piece was a gift for Fiona Bluefire, in the DC Crayon Box Secret Santa exchange. The water skipper concept is Fiona's design.

I really wanted to make something special for her, so I put a lot of effort into this. I'm not certain of the time, but I would estimate between 10-20 hours of work.

Digital painting is not my forte, and I learned a lot while working on this piece. It had over 30 layers, while in previous pieces I had used very few.

On a completely unrelated note, I hate painting water.
