Description Originally going to be for 's contest but I was lazy and was working 60 hours a week and didn't get it done nearly in time. I really only started today

I cant, for the life of me, find a way to get a water lighting effect on him which I would really like *hint* *hint* in case someone has a tutorial hanging around.

If you find a good tutorial, please post it. @.@ Drawing stuff underwater is hard. Unless you're Lassan.

Pretty

When I did watercast in my boredom-inspired waterseries, I just took the dodge tool on hilight 25% and scribbled randomly on the creature in little diamonds, never letting up the mouse. The line can't break!

;D Someone else probably did it better, though.

He looks lovely. I don't really have a tutorial, but I colored this picture awhile ago on my other account:

Pretty much if you create a new layer and scribble some lines that are a lighter shade than your water or creature, you can smudge them and create a "watery" effect. At least thats how I did it...I am not so sure if I did such a peachy job. O.o Other people seemed to think I did.

As for how you're doing so far, I love the color of your sea dragon. The texture on the skin is lovely and I can't wait to see what you do with the water effects!

Oh wow, this would have defanatly been in first place if you'd had entered.
Ive never seen a water effect tutorial, but the way I do it is create a new layer, then take a brush with the color white and stroke over edges of the body and face, then smudge it out, then take the eraser tool at 50% and fade it out insvisible, except the edge..so white and fades away.
