Wolfpark - 2011Wotan
I was at Wolfpark this past Saturday, and spent the whole, bitingly cold afternoon, photographing the main pack of wolves. Oh, and don't get me wrong I am not complaining about the weather. Yes, it was damn cold. Yes, it was raining. Yes, it was windy. Yes, it began to snow. Did I care? No.
The weather just added to the wolves already photogenetic allure. There was no bright sun to make them lazy or lethargic in the middle of the afternoon, and the rain made their fur stand out beautifully. Then came the snow at the tail end of the session, no pun intended. Wonderful finishing touch to a day I will not soon forget.
Yes. They are wonderful.

That's amazing. I have a wolf friend who I've named Kaala and I was just hanging out by myself at the Cuyahoga River. He was howling and I just watched him with fascination. He stared at me for about a few minutes and out of nowhere, he walks up towards me and sniffs my hand. He then wagged his tail and licks my face. He was wild and never had human interaction before; that's weird. We were friends ever since, but sadly, he was shot and killed. May he find peace. I'm glad that you see these beautiful animals every once in a while and spend time with them.
