Description Things you can shoot in the sink of the kitchen, no pro rigg needed.

1. Bowl of water
2. Dripping tap
3. Flash on camera
4. Timing

I wanted to have a clean droplet-shot with some cool reflection. Had no cool pattern or something laying around so I took a dive in my refrigerator in search of things to reflect.
I found this juice package well known in Sweden as BRAVO. Placed it behind the bowl of water and the rest is magic.

I'm very satesfied with the outcome since it turned out pretty damn much exactly as I wanted it to, which is a rare happenin' hehe.

Thanks. I think that the descriptions itself can help the viewer to understand/view the photo/work.

Yeah sometimes it helps the viewers if they want to "replicate" the shot

The small view looks fantastic, but as you enlarge the harsh highlights from the flash become very noticable. I'd fiddle around with them and see if I couldn't make them stand out a little less. Other than that, I love the colors.

Thanks mate. Yea I know, it's not perfect or even near for that matter. I didn't wanna work around this piece so much, therefore I kinda left it as it was at the moment .

Nice input tho

This photo is really sweet as I told you before, love the mix of yellow and green. The dof is almost perfect cuz you got the Bravo logo in focus.

BRAVO!

Chers mate, took some planning on the juice package before I managed to get the reflection so precice

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

skopz [2008-12-07 23:12:19 +0000 UTC]

Almost looks artificial. I'm not one to judge, but this almost seems digitally edited, and not actually taken with the reflection in it so perfectly.
If it was, however, a great idea, and a great shot, save for the glare from the light in the center of the drop.

ladyrapid In reply to skopz [2008-12-07 23:16:17 +0000 UTC]

I'll take what you think as a big compliment since this is purley a photo taken and not manipulated. As I say in the description "CS3 for framing/vignetting and typo".

It's not even near perfect , I got a few more to display.

Chers, rob

The Depth of feild and timing just before it hit is great! this could even be worthy to promote the juice itself it's very surreal and kinda reminiscent of 3D art, yet the colours and simplicity are very refreshing

Chers mate, yea when I sat back 'n looked on it I thought it looked like a commercial shot almost, could as well be tho as you mentioned.
"Bravo - a drop of the daily vitamine intake" .

I'm thinkin of doing a few more, with various reflections, we'll se what what/if I can get something worthy.
