Description
Ok, i know this is a bad drawing and not my usual but im out of practice and i was bored and decided to give it a go.I only used a anime still to reference the shape of Ukitake's head, after that the rest is made up.

It was quite a challenge making it up tbh, i liked some of it until i started annoying me when it didnt look right...

thanks, just practice a lot. I started drawing in july 2007 and in july 2008 i had just finished [link] it really doesnt take long at all
I've not drawn since late 2008 so i'm just starting up again and need to relearn it all!

You've got nothing to be shamed of. You've got the shape of the face right for anime, but if you were aiming for semi realism/realism then some adjustments would've helped around the chin and nose.
But it's obvious you've some skill.
I like the expression you gave him and I think I know the ref from that expression.

thanks very much, i know what you mean about the adjustments, there are so many things i would change about this drawing if i started again. I think i was a little bit too confined by the trying to keep to the anime shapes and you're right, i should have made the adjustments and changed the whole faceshape to what i know peoples face shapes to be like.
Its really difficult to work from imagination and i applaud you guys for doing it!
