Description Xfce desktop with many KDE apps using GTK2+ engine...

OS: Xubuntu 11.10

Panels: AWN

Icons: as always my BlackWhite-III and kAwoken: [link]

My LaGaDesk-N12-evo theme does not work with Xfce. Working on a new version especially for Xfce.

That's one of the best xfce/xubuntu customizations I've seen, I'm going to have a go at something similar, but not quite so dark, truly awesome, and thanks for the inspiration.

Now this I hadn't thought of. And I keep saying how great most kde apps are. Will try soon.

The gtk theme works great with the apps. AWN is a bit over the top though don't you think?

Perhaps it is more a KDE desk as Xfce but without plasma and therefore very lightweight.

I'm not a big fan of plasma myself. Thankfully the KDE apps work 'stand alone' too .

Thanks my friend! Yeah, it's faster than GNOME and KDE and needs not much RAM (250 MB after start with loaded KDE runtime environment!). CPU load is very low. I can highly recommend this combination!
