A 5-page comic for my 2D class that I figured I might as well post here. The assignment had to do with an ethnic marketplace shop we visited.
I've tried to do ink washes before but really disliked them since they were on bristol paper, but this time I actually did 'em on watercolor paper and liked the final results a lot better! ...I still think I prefer watercolors to inks, though...
I'm trying to play a lot more with camera angles and atmosphere and such, but this is still much too zoomed in and still too flat. I'll work on it, though!
I have issues with making anything look finished/polished these days. I'm so impatient, all I want to do is get down the right "sense" for an image and then move on... gah...

I love the texture here! Yesss watercolor paper has such lovely give to it, doesn't it? ;D
I think the last panel and second to last are my favorite, there's just something so emotionally stirring about those two, sort of sad yet hopeful/wistful~

I think when you're doing all the work yourself then it can make you impatient. That's why I don't do comics very much. Because writing and drawing and inking and colouring just feels like too much. It's like redoing the same thing 3 or 4 times. 
This is a lovely comic.

Look at you making some beautiful close ups! I really love this. I can't use watercolor to save my life. As for making things look finished/polished... its better to get down what you want. I literally can't do that and will be stuck on an image for days because i can't sit with a sketch. ;w;

Psssshhhhhhh, I actually still really hate how "close up" this looks, I'd prefer to zoom out a lot more and show a lot more space. u_u But thank youu~! And this was just inks! I... prefer watercolors so much more, you can lift colors back out and blend them and they look way prettier, burrrrrrr.
But. not. being able to finish anything still sucks... : D;;
