SHE'S HERE! SUGILITE IS (officially) HERE!
After what seems like forever, Steven Universe returns with an all new Gem Fusion! Personally I preferred Opal, but Sugilite was fun enough to watch... In the beginning... when she wasn't pulverizing my Pearl bby. OAO;; Tried out some semi-new things with layer effects. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS! Now back to work on something for me~!

I hope in the next season they show us Pearl and Garnet's fusion! We've already seen Amethyst and Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst, and all three of them! Now I just want to see Steven and Pearl, Amethyst and Steven, Garnet and Steven, and Pearl and Garnet!

people are saying that sugilite is more amethysts personality than garnets, but its not she has garnets 'violence is the answer' attitude and amethysts 'loud acts without thinking and does whatever she wants whenever she wants' attitude and that creates sugilite who is a very unstable, last-resort fusion so just because amethysts peronality is louder than garnets it doesnt mean that it is dominent in sugilite.

Anyone else find it weird that more of amethyst's personality and traits were shown in this fusion? I'd thought fusing with garnet would hold back the wild girl a smidge, but it seems like she's all but assumed control of this fused being. Awesome pic by the way. So far, I have yet to see a bad episode.

Well I think it's cuz of the actual personalities in play within the fusion.
So, since ruby and sapphire make up garnet, they kinda balance each other out. Ruby seems more prone to aggression while sapphire is more calm and collected. If you add amethyst, a typically wild child sorta deal and mix that with Ruby's aggression, then Sapphire is overwhelmed and the result is a wild fusion
