If there is a next page, I think Elphaba will throw away that ugly mask of hers in anger, showing her beautiful real face(not in purpose though it's just what I want XD) and shout "So what?! I'm Wicked in my own way!!!" and use magic to throw Bellatrix of the tower. Then, she will say to Dorothy "Stop bawling or your mangy little dog gets thrown in the well!" while actually gently petting Toto.
Yup, totally Wicked(the musical) based.
As I'm writing this this is actually becoming a request. Can you please draw this out for me? That is, if you have watched Wicked or read the book.

How DARE that insufferable twit Bellatrix call Elphaba an ameteur! Elphie was praticing her magic when Bella was still in diapers!

1) Elphapa was a life scientist.
2) Bella definitely killed more people/had fewer (no) morals, so she wins the evil award in this bout, making Elphaba an amateur. Bellatrix actually achieved her own goals. Elphaba failed at everything she did and was evil by accident. Bella definitely wins.

Elphie didn't really fail. She just had a different view of things, hence why she was turned "wicked".

Are we talking about the book or the play? In the book, she failed to keep any of her loved ones in her life, failed to keep most of them alive (including her pets) failed to stay sane, failed to overthrow the wizard, got killed by a twelve year old. EPIC FAIL.
But I'm not trying to rag on Elphaba. She's probably one of the bravest characters ever to be written, but here's the thing: her life was ABOUT failure. She's one of the most respectable failures of all time. When you take away the failure, you take away part of her. Her failures give her depth and color (lol). Bellatrix, though more successful, is also a lot simpler. She wanted to be Voldy's right hand woman, so she married a death eater and voila, success. Of course, she had to be a damn good witch to get any respect from the dark lord whatsoever, so there are some major coolness points there, but really, Bella lived in black and white. She forfilled her twisted dreams and then died.
Elphaba had to strugle. She had to make tough choices and she chose wrong a lot of the time and lived with the consequences. None of her dreams ever came true. She failed herself. She didn't live up to her own expectations.
"Elphie didn't really fail. She just had a different view" If that's what you think, back it up with text or at least scenarios from the story, cause right now, I really don't see your point.

She did lose her loved ones and died an insane and bitter ol' bat in the book (although I am sure she still had some friends who were upset when news came around that she died, considering how things were), but in the play, she received her own "happily ever after".

Hang on.. what does the "happily ever after" have to do with anything? (If indeed running off to la la land qualifies as a happily ever after). You have yet to prove that Elphaba was a success. Elphaba doesn't get any credit for keeping Glinda on her side. She tried to drive her away twice. Once in the emerald city and once over a pair of shoes. Tell me about her successes. I'm curious, cause I read that book many times, and I missed the happy "Elphie's not a failure" part.

Yes, her life was all about her failings, but when you read the book, you felt empathy and sympathy for her and hoped that it would turn out alright, even though you knew that she WOULD get killed by Dorothy (accidental or not). Those emotions you felt as you read were felt at troubling times and you felt elation and joy at the happy times (ex: when she and Fiyero were together [before Fiyero died] & when she and Galinda were friends [before Madame Morrible got to them]). Sure, she didn't get her happy ending, but she was far from a failure in her abilities, because although she blamed herself for all who've suffered under her wrath somewhat, she felt it was justified and as you read the book, you understood why she thought this way (namely, the evil that her true father, The not-so-Wonderful Wizard of Oz brought to the land & the problems her once-loyal friends had caused during her stay at Fiyero's castle) and you saw that she was capable of brilliant magic near the end, even though she never fully mastered it. I mean, just because you never fully grasp something, it doesn't mean you failed, because failing means that you would give up on trying to do your best at that something and reep the benefits of giving up.
