I know this is an older piece but I love the use of markers.... Such a beautiful animal.

I do not begrudge comments on older pieces (actually, it's nice to know people still look at them and enjoy them).
Thank you! I did this to get back into the use of markers again so I kept it rather loose and free as I experimented a bit (which can get a little scary at times with such an unforgiving medium!).
Oh, by the way, y'never noted me back with some better refs for the characters on our trade, still interested?

Do you mind if I asked you to draw different characters of mine?

No problem at all (I was waiting to start until I had more refs anyway). Just go ahead and note me the info.

Thank you very much! They are a mix of Pantone Tria markers and Prismacolor markers. Both are great, though I prefer the Tria as they have three different nibs/tips and, if you can find it, you can buy the ink to refill them. Prismas you can find most places, including Michaels, but they charge obscene amounts for them. Part of it is the markers, but the paper is also important too. A lot of normal drawing papers and sketchbook papers will bleed your markers dry because they absorb the ink a lot quicker than the paper I used for this (name and brand is in the description). This paper also allows one to blend a bit more because the ink "sits" on the paper for a moment before being set into it.
