Colored pencil and ink commission for ~Remingtono of her horse Remington. She was tremendously patient with me and I'm happy to report she's very pleased with the result.

Part of me misses working in colored pencils regularly and part of me does not. I love the results, but it can take forever and a day to properly build the color unlike pastels where you can just sling color around willy-nilly without having to protect your white areas. I did have to use some tape to pull back some of the color in the background and employed q-tips to get the blending in the background (worked beautifully, the marks were just too distracting).

Colored pencil and ink on 9x12" paper. There's a little cropping up top as it was scanned rather than photographed.
