Playing with the linework that I started in my Life Drawing class in Spring '08.I LOVE working this way. This year I plan on really developing it and going beyond the scratching of the surface that I did last year.
Reference vaguely used from the paperwork that the Paso Fino horse association sends out if you request it.

You should definitely keep working like this - I love it! It's so intricate and expressive. Also, I love every horse you draw, so that's a bonus.

The stylized shading turned out great. I would suggest trying out some Copic/Prisma markers since they dry relatively evenly.

Thankye! I have both Prisma and Tria markers (prefer the Tria), but truth be told this was a bit more of a doodle/experimentation. I'd like to do some more work along this vein with the nicer markers on some good marker paper as well (and larger to boot), but there's no harm in experimenting with the cheaper stuff first *grin.*
