Personality:

Lutka may seem more reserved but that is due to her face which lacks emotion. Not that she can’t show any emotions at all, it just takes some time to show, as her whole body is like a real doll’s. Through her voice it becomes clearer that Lutka is actually a lively and friendly person. She tries her best to get along with the people she meets and work with. To enchant the guests with her performance, seeing the wonder and smiles reflecting in their expressions, is what Lutka loves the most. As her body is rather fragile she’s hesitant to try anything reckless that could end with parts of her body being broken. Repairing those takes time and is surely not the most enjoyable activity while working at the Circus. Nevertheless, Lutka is a person who loves to explore and watch other’s performances. Sometimes she even gets so distracted watching, that she forgets she’s an actor as well.

But it is not only positive traits this girl bears, even if they are the majority. Performing outside and not in the Main Tent is easily explained: Lutka fears to draw too much attention. Having the whole audience’s attention focused on her makes her nervous. So nervous she’s not able to move at all. That’s why working outside gives her mind a little peace, since there are other interesting acts going on to catch people’s attention, and only a handful may watch her perform. The voices of people make her feel much more comfortable than being in stared at in complete silence. In front of other’s she may act strong, sometimes to the extend where she comes off as not caring at all, however, once left alone Lutka is more likely to let her sadness show. Having troubles trusting other people and opening up to them, Lutka is more likely to observe people at first before deciding how much she tells them. But it depends on how good they get along. Starting fights is not what Lutka does, rather she does avoid them. So, when there’s a hot-headed person confronting her, Lutka is prone to prejudice them as a bad person at first.

Story:

Growing up in an orphanage run by the church, Snježana had many ‘siblings‘ to look after. The little girl had no idea who her parents were, neither did she really care as she considered the Sisters and other children her family. Of course she dreamed of being adopted into a loving family one day, like any other child living in the orphanage. Especially when chores like cleaning the rooms or taking care of the garden had to be done. As a child, Snježana proved to be a lazy fellow. But over the years her dream got out of reach. Many years she watched her friends being adopted while she was left behind, and the older she got, the slimmer her chances of being adopted became.
At the age of 14, Snježana began to re-consider her behaviour of being lazy, and started to show interest in the lectures the Sister’s gave the children, so they’d have at least some basic education needed for them to survive once they would leave the orphanage and start their life as adults. She grew up to be like a big sister for the other children and found great joy in caring for them. Soon the day came where Snježana, now 16 years old, had to bid good bye to the orphanage and start to work at a small local bakery. The work wasn’t easy, but not bad either and the pay was enough for her to live on her own in a small apartment. It wasn’t much she had, but even if there were times she complained about her live, Snježana would continue to work in the end.

One year later, after a hard day of work, Snježana was on her way to shop for groceries. The sun was already setting, so she had to hurry before all the shops closed. The past week had been hard on her and the dark circles under her eyes showed how tired the young girl in her adulthood was. It was a busy day in the middle of the week, the streets were crowded and it was easy to get lost in the masses. And to lose focus. She was sure she had looked out for any carriages before crossing the street, however, screams followed, and the clattering sounds of hooves approaching rapidly. And then, only seconds later, her whole body was in pain when it hit the ground. People were gathering around, but her sight was blurry when she was about to open her eyes. She wanted to get up but her body wouldn’t move. If anything, it just hurt even more. And was there something warm and wet she could feel spreading under her head? Whatever it was, Snježana was too weak and allowed herself to ‘sleep’.

Then there he was, out of nowhere appearing in front of her, blocking the light she could see in the distance. Slowly the girl realized what fate she had met just moments ago. Rarely did she cry in front of others, but this time she couldn’t help but let the tears flow. A little hesitant she reached out her hand to the person calling himself the ‘Ringmaster’. She wasn’t ready to die yet…
