Description Already considered the most important aircraft in Oceanic's nascent civilian airline market, it was no surprise that Dauntless' Model 45 Skylark airliner was pressed to serve the Oceanic Air Corps' transportation needs in World War III.

Used for para-drops, hospital and cargo flights, Skylarks operated in tandem with larger transport aircraft later in the war, as their size limited their carrying capacity beyond anything larger than personnel and crates. C-45s wore many paint jobs through their service, primarily with upper surface camouflages, while aircraft with black undersides were usually used in night-time airborne operations and special missions. Oceanic Naval Aviation ("ON.Avi"), the aerial branch of the Navy, also used it but found it's range lacking, preferring the larger transports that came later.
