Inspired by Arminius 1871's Sudettensee I made this map.The ethnic croatian areas of Austria-Hungary are a sea.

The Gascon Sea (Remember to include the Aranese peoples on it, the Aranese language is a dialect of Gascon) or maybe a full Occitanian Sea/Strait including both Occitan and Gascon peoples???
