Ehh..., soy un Hispano nacido y Venezuela y sinceramente este escenario es bastate extrañe y retorcido.
Primero que todo:
Como es remotamente posible que el Zulia sobreviva siendo un estado independiente?
El Petroleo exclusivamente por si solo no sostiene a un país y menos aun a largo plazo, donde los precios del crudo serian (hasta cierto grado) los que dictarían el balance de la economía de un Zulia independiente.
Por el otro lado, como es remotamente posible que esta se mantenga independiente del resto de Venezuela??
Como es que en primer lugar el Zulia seria independiente de Venezuela?? Siendo alguien nacido en Venezuela, puedo asegurar que en el Zulia el separatismo es bastante tenue y/o difuso y no hay partidos políticos importantes abogando por la separación del Zulia del resto de Venezuela (no como sucede con Cataluña y España).

Zulia is a federal republic (Like Germany or Argentina). It has presidential elections every 2 years.
About demographics, it has 4 Million people aprox, the Northern lands are the most populated, while the West, and the Southern/Central provinces are less populated (Except for Sucre) Maracaibo is the capital and largest city.
It is part of the MERCOSUR, the USAN and the OPEP, and it has good relations with all the countries in the Americas except for Venezuela and Colombia. But its best friends are Brazil, the US, Guyana, Argentina and Uruguay. It trades mostly with NATO and the MERCOSUR nations
It has plenty of different resources, but it relies mostly on Oil extraction, minery and agriculture.
