I had to rebuild it for prints and did the same steps that I originally performed... but somehow my added experience prevented me from failing

heh, very cool to see you emulate the style. I see it like a younger brother (in terms of style/impact.) There's potential, but as of yet, it doesn't quite grasp your attention like *Davenit . Sharpness and quality are certainly to par, but there isn't really a message that the viewer can take away with them. (And that's not necessarily a bad thing, sometimes it's cool to just say... "woah")
I hold a certain respect for this shot, though, regardless of how it looks. The fact that you spent the time to do this, to keep experimenting, and not stop till you were done...it's all commendable.

I figured the simpler the water looks the more appealing it is because the human eye can process stylized and simple shapes faster
