it reminds me a little bit of Hopper, except the colors are softer. But the Lonely Cityscape part does anyway. Which is good.

This is one of the most beautiful and accomplished paintings I've ever seen on dA; it reminds me a little of Edward Hopper and a little of George Tooker, but it so clearly exists in it's own particular realm and it summons up city life's underlying magic in a way I've never seen before...

This painting might not be the best, technically speaking, from my gallery, but it's in my personal top 3. It holds a lot of personal feelings that I think I couldn't express with words.

At the time I painted this I was very fond of the mood in Hopper's paintings.
But I guess I was unconsciously influenced, cause this is the first painting I did without any reference at all (I guess you could see that in the poorly constructed anatomy

You're welcome, I've always enjoyed Hopper's work for the same reason.
I can see by some of your other paintings you have a pretty good understanding of anatomy so I assumed any "misproportion" was intentional and either way it lends itself to the mood of the painting.

It was a bit intentional in the sense that I wasn't worried about making a perfect figure, so I just let the brush srokes flow.
I guess that if I were to do the same now, it would look a bit better, but oh well, I'm fond of this picture just the way it is

I really like this piece; it makes me wonder who she is, and why she chose to be alone to watch the mist....if that indeed was her choice. Very atmospheric.

This is just wonderful. I am smitten with art that captures the feeling echoed in this piece (dali's girl at the window, for example).

I'm actually very fond of this picture, it was the fist one I did from scratch, I didn't planned it, I just let the brush and paint flow...
I haven't put any of my work available as prints because I don't have a credit card and I don't really get how the other ways of payment work

This is beautiful. It's so atmospheric and realy draws you in.
