"Oh my Arceus! I'm so sorry! This was all my fault!" Barry cried as he took your hand and squeezed it.

You rolled your (colour) eyes and sighed. "For the last time, Barry, it wasn't," you reassured him.

"I should have listened to you," he said as he looked down.

You sighed again. A few hours ago, your childhood friend was climbing trees again to pick some berries. You had warned him that he might get badly hurt, but he didn't listen to you. Suddenly, a branch cracked and before you both knew it, he lost his balance. You were running as fast as you could, opening your arms so you could catch him. He fell on you which broke your arm. You never thought that he was that heavy. Well, he does have a well built and muscular body.

Barry continued apologizing and you had enough.

"Shut up! It's getting annoying!" you growled at him.

His orange eyes widened and he stopped. "Sorry." He laughed nervously.

You glared at him but then shook your head and sighed. He felt guilty and you couldn't blame him. He really cared for you. But you always thought that he thought of you as just his best and childhood friend. Nothing more.

"Anyway," you said as you let out another sigh. "What were you doing on the trees?" you asked.

"I was picking some (favourite berry)."

Your eyes widened. "But they're not even your favourites."

He scratched the back of his head and blushed a little. "But they're yours."

You blushed too, and you had a feeling what was going to happen next. And you were right. Barry leaned over you and closed his eyes. You closed yours too as you felt a pair of soft and warm lips pressed against yours. You kissed him back immediately as you played a little with his blond hair with your healthy arm. He cupped your cheek with his hand as he deepned the kiss. You then pulled apart and stared at each other's eyes.

Before you could say anything, Barry took a marker from his pocket and wrote something on your arm cast and signed it. He grinned as he finished and put the marker back in his pocket.

"I love you, (y/n). Signed: your best, childhood friend and your boyfriend, Barry," you read. You gave him one of the brightest smiles ever as you pecked his cheek before you said, "I love you too."

He gave you a goofy smile before he kissed you again with more passion.
